A.V. Belov was born in 1950. He graduated from Perm State University on a speciality «Geological survey and search of mineral deposits». He has been working in geology for almost 40 years, most of them in the Arkhangelsk region. Since 1977 he has been directing the geological exploration works on studying geology of quaternary precipitations of the Nothern part of the Arkhangelsk region, the study of minerals and geological survey works. From 1992 to 1994 he was a leading expert in non-metallic mineral resources and licensing in the Nordic Committee of geology and use of mineral resources of the Arkhangelsk region («Severgeolcom»). From 2006 till the present time he has been working as the leading geologist in LLC "Arkhangelsk diamonds". He was awarded by the diploma of the Ministry of natural resources of the Russian Federation for personal contribution in development of the mineral resource base of the country and the breastplate «Honorary prospector».
