Alexei has more than 15 years’ experience as a tax advisor in the Energy, Utilities and Mining group at PwC Russia in Moscow.He is the PwC Mining Leader for Russia.

Alexei started his career as a junior tax specialist at the Moscow office of Price, Waterhouse & Co back in 1996. Since then, Alexei has continued his career with PwC and was admitted to partnership in 2009. Alexei is based in Moscow.

In 2006-2007, Alexei went on secondment to the London office of PwC UK, where he provided tax advice to a wide range of international and Russian energy, utilities and mining clients.

Alexei has many years of experience in advising mining companies on international tax planning, specifically regarding mergers, acquisitions and IPOs, but also including advisory services on tax matters specific to the mining industry. He has also led projects covering tax due diligence, resolving tax disputes and creating effective tax functions at a number of companies.

Alexei has degree in international economics from the G. V. Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.
