Roman Schetinskiy heads New Projects Department in GVgold, one of the top-ten Russian gold mining companies. He joined GVgold in 2010 and currently managing long term strategies for the company’s gold mining assets. On the operational side he is supervising feasibility studies of all development projects and covering mid-term and long-term exploration activity. He is also a member of GVgold M&A team, managing projects evaluations and deals structuring.

On corporate side Mr Schetinskiy is a director of the affiliated exploration company and a Member of the board of Directors in junior mining company with a number of early stage exploration projects.

Prior to joining GVgold he was a Director for consulting services in NBLgold, Russian based independent mining consulting company where he was responsible for all technical evaluations and audits prepared for NBL clients.

Roman is an economist from background with more then 10 years of experience in gold mining industry and in particular in project management, technical audits and investment analysis.

During his career he has visited more than 50 precious and base metals projects in Russia and CIS plus a number of mining projects in Europe, Asia and North America. He has strong analytical skills and significant knowledge of precious metals market including industry standards and regulatory requirements, western and local engineering approaches, project finance and joint ventures structuring.
