Sergey Nickishichev is the Director of international mining consultancy IMC Montan (Russia and CIS), graduated from Moscow State Mining University as mining engineer-economist, PhD, Member of Materials, Minerals and Mining Institute -FIMM (UK), the lecturer at MBA courses (MSMU, International Approaches to Development of Mining Companies), has over 15-year experience in mining industry, works with governmental and financial bodies on investment issues, has been Director and/or team leader for over 100 consulting projects for mining companies, author of more than 40 articles and publications in industry journals.

Synergy between development of the business and the region as the optimal strategy for the development of mining companies in difficult economic conditions

Social responsibility can be profiatable ie economically effective, that is why social issues need to be considered as integrated into the core activity of the company/business. It is important for the business to move from the idea of corporate social responsibility (CSR) towards integrated external engagement (IEE). The presentation will give examples of the implementation of joint infrustructure projects based on PPP in difficult economic circumstances, of the better use of unutilized resources of external environment
